What is Common Data Service? Common Data Service – CDS

Common Data Service allow you securely store and manage data that is used in the Business Applications. 

Data within common data service is stored within set of records called entities. An entity is a set of records used to store data, similar to how a table store data within the database.

• What is Power BI for desktop?
  • A free application that can be install on local computer
  • It allows you connect to, transform, visualize data
  • Create visuals, such as charts, or graphs to represent the data
  • Used to create a report data model
  • Share report with others using power BI service
• Views on Power BI for Desktop
  • Report View – where you create the reports and visuals
  • Data View – here you see the tables, measures, and other data used in the data model
  • Model View – Manage relationship among tables in your data model

Data Entity Not available on Powerapps and Power BI ,Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

Issue: Data Entity of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is not available on power apps and Power BI

 

Casue: Data Entity of Dynamics 365 for Finance and operation will not be available if Is Public  property of Data Entity is No

 

 

Resolution: Just change the Data Entity Is Public property to Yes
